The MRT Sungai Buloh–Kajang line is the ninth rail transit line and the second fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley area, after the Kelana Jaya Line. Starting from Sungai Buloh which is located to the north-west of Kuala Lumpur, the line runs through the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, and ends in Kajang, a fast developing town located to the south-east of Kuala Lumpur. The line serves a corridor with an estimated population of 1.2 million people. Hunter Douglas Malaysia secured the Luxalon®metal ceilingcontracts for 24 elevated stations and the cladding and louvres contracts for 13 stations. The projects were delivered on-time successfully.

“MRT helps to shorten the commute and connect people from all walks of lives and from different parts of the city. It has ecome part and parcel of one’s daily interaction through the day. As such, it is important that a station design be durable, pleasant and
evergreen. It must also meet acoustical performance standards. We are glad to supply our flagship high performance acoustic
the Luxalon®metal ceiling and facade products such as Linear Closed 84C, Wide Panel 300C for this project. Our site-savvy
field consultants, designers experts and project engineers have worked on applications of every kind: from mass rapid transits,
to stadiums, to airports and beyond, and will help specify sustainable materials, design versatile integration systems, and create a ceiling topography that gives every space its own personality.”
