MUSEO ELEVADO DE VILLAHERMOSA

Location:

Mainland China (中国)

Architect/Specifier:

TEN Arquitectos The museum encompasses four large rooms to be used for art exhibitions, musical performances and readings. TEN Arquitectos specified 2,020 square meters of Hunter Douglas Screenpanel to clad the boomerang-shaped building and encourage the connectivity with its surroundings. These perforated metal screens are intended to be lit with colored lights or film projections to illuminate the museum and walkways at night. Hunter Douglas supervised the installation of these metal screens, which required assembling more than 1,000 different pieces. The result is that Museo Elevado de Villahermosa is a museum, a performance experience, an overpass and the beginning of a major cultural hub for Villahermosa.
